About Us

Calgary Fury Ball Hockey Club is a registered non-profit and proud member of Ball Hockey Alberta (BHA) through Calgary Superleagues. As a Calgary-based youth ball hockey club serving U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19, we create pathways for competitive Calgary Superleagues players to grow and compete at Provincials, Western regional events, and Nationals, all while staying true to our culture of development, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Our goal is to build a strong community and positive environment where every participant develops skill, confidence, and a deeper understanding of the game, with a clear pathway to meaningful competition. We partner with dedicated coaches, women and men competing at the highest levels of ball hockey, to teach, mentor, and inspire. The habits we build together, including work ethic, teamwork, and respect, extend beyond the floor and into everyday life.

We invest in our coaches, too. All Fury coaches are offered education opportunities to deepen their understanding of skill development, physical and mental fitness, player well-being, and strategies specific to youth ball hockey in Calgary. Strong coaching and clear communication support players' progression from learning the game to competing when it counts.

Team selection follows a structured tryout process designed to support the development of all participants. Players benefit from demonstrations, instruction, and guidance from some of Calgary’s top ball hockey athletes, including National Team players who have represented Canada at the International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) World Championships. Tryouts are conducted by both female and male evaluators from the ball hockey community to ensure impartial assessments that recognize talent, effort, and potential.

Everyone is encouraged to try out. Players selected to Fury continue to learn, develop, and grow, while modelling the values of our club: hard work, dedication, and great sportsmanship. Our one-day events remain inclusive and community-focused; as teams advance to Provincials (all teams) and Western events (as applicable), we introduce a more intentional competitive focus grounded in preparation, discipline, and team-first play.

Above all, we strive to deliver a valuable experience for every Fury participant, shaping better players, better teammates, and future leaders in our Calgary community.
