2026 Spring Tryouts
The Calgary Fury Ball Hockey Club plans to have at least one team for each age group (U9, U11, U13, U15, U18). All players must participate in tryouts. To be eligible, players MUST be registered in Calgary Superleagues Spring 2025 season and pay a non-refundable $30 try out fee. Registration and payment for Fury tryouts can be completed while registering for the Superleagues 2025 Spring Season.
Tryout dates are the last two weeks of April. Exact dates TBA. All tryouts will be at Jack Setters Arena.
Tryout Schedule
The schedule is the same for each day of tryouts.
U9 → 5:00 - 6:00pm
U11 → 6:00 - 7:00pm
U13 → 7:00 - 8:00pm
U15 → 8:00 - 9:00pm
U18 → 9:00 - 10:00pm
Tryout Details
To ensure a fair, transparent selection process, each age group will attend four (4) tryout sessions.
🔹Cuts after Tryout #2: U11, U13, U15
🔹Final rosters after Tryout #4: all age groups
Independent evaluations: All players are assessed by an impartial team of high-calibre coaches and athletes from ball and ice hockey backgrounds—delivering a performance-based, unbiased process.
What evaluators assess:
✅ Effective speed & endurance
✅ Technical skill set
✅ Hockey IQ (decision-making, awareness, positioning)
Players not selected for the final roster will receive individual feedback, upon request, to support their continued development.

About Calgary Fury
Calgary Fury is a Nonprofit Organization aimed at growing the sport of Ball Hockey at a competitive level. Each year, Fury teams travel to the Alberta Provincials and Western Challenge Cup to compete.
